Short description: Overall objective: to increase the possibility of employment of redundant workers through the introduction of innovative approach that would provide max participation in the labour market and employment.
Specific objectives:
1. redeployment of redundant workers through incentives to productive use of severance payment;
2. NES capacities for planning, implementation and monitoring of active labour market programmes built at national level.
Components:
1. Self-employment of redundant workers, persons whose employment has been terminated by agreement (accompanied by severance payment) and persons whose employment has been terminated due to bankruptcy;
2. New employment opportunities – investing severance pay (completely or partially) in covering compulsory social contributions, opening and equipping of new workplaces or additional education and training.
Achieved results: 2020 persons have been employed (418 with 190 employers – new employment and 1602 – self-employment)
Comment: This is a new project in the labour market, enabling transformation of passive measures (unemployment benefit) into active measures (new employment opportunities and self-employment)
